Ted McDonald, “Barefoot Ted”

Ted is a barefoot runner and ultramarathoner, a lifelong advocate for natural movement, and the founder of LUNA Sandals. Over the years he has run trails and ultras around the world, helped countless runners rediscover light-footed running, and built a company around the idea that our bodies are made to move.

West Beach Academy is Ted’s way of giving kids that same freedom: lots of outdoor time, real-world science on the shoreline, and a community of families who believe learning can be wild and rigorous at the same time.
